How do I use a .bsg file?

Stirling engine

uploaded by oziboy 1 year ago

This is a replica of a stirling engine type alpha with unmodded parts that are used ingame.
Using mods I could give the flamethrower a correct angle, though the site is down so yeah :P
I'd be thankful if someone could give me the blockloader mod though!

Instructions:
Wait until machine has almost stopped moving, then press Y.
If it doesn't catch up, you might have to give the flywheel a nod.

It doesn't run regular at all, it will sometimes slow down and/or speed up but I've found that it had to do with the angle the flamethrower was in.
Also, instead of the second cylinder which is supposed to create a temperature difference with the main cilinder wasn't needed as when the steam turns into water it has less power, so pulling the flamethrower away sould suffice.

Not a stirling engine, people keep using that word, but a stirling engine is very specific, and has no pistons.

Still i like your "ignition" system, it take very little energy from the piston...

Thanks for the compliments! I love feedback on my engines too, inteesting the armor helped, i may ahve to try that!

Feel free to browse my page, it has upwards of a dozen different designs and some repeats, but refined. I love engines. I didnt realize you were the same creator as the last engine i commented on. Im always happy to give some advice and honestly i will probably be stealing you ignition design, or a variant.

It reminds me of my creation: http://besiegedownloads.com/machine/29374

Heres my V8 btw, it makes very little power for some advanced reasons, but looks cool : http://besiegedownloads.com/machine/28476

And if you look at the main page i made the first engine that runs on a 90 degree firing pattern. (your first engine was a 360, so it this one, if you had hinged your 2cyl on the same spot it would be a 180)

BUILD BUILD BUILD ^_^
