How do I use a .bsg file?

Modded realistic (and working) V8 engine [WIP]

uploaded by oziboy 2 years ago

Update before final, everything's done, last update will have some estethics but this is as good as I can get the performance with my lack of knowledge.

This is version 1.4

90° firing order should be a thing, I didn't double check but it should be there, unless I went wrong and forgot to add one quadrant (I'll fix it for the final update if it's there though)

I'm going to sleep now

Suggestions are still welcome

On a side note, I added some flywheels just for the heck of it, remove them and see for yourself how well it runs :D

Y to start, it'll start running by itself, if not, give a little nudge clockwise.

Neat! Im getting a lot of misfires though. See the below link to an image. Notice the front two are both water jets. My only guess is that your flamethrowers are too close to the water cannons. The actually dont fire a steady stream of flame, but more like a pulse that expands from what ive seen. So you might solve your issue by moving them slightly farther away some the pulses can expand.

For a guy making engines for the first time a couple days ago, this is incredible btw. Surely you have some mechanical or engineering training on your own apart from this game.

This build was complete rubbish and like I said they aren't configured too well
Though I don't know how that's possible, for me it gives steam all the time
I'll check it out though, weird...

And haha, actually, I was doing engineering until I failed the math, so I'm a programmer now :P

Nice! Im a mechanic, well i was till i got hired out of my last job running a shop to be a parts manager.

If it steams for you every time, it may be my weak work computer graphics taking too much toll on some things, but steam has been weird after the last couple updates. i have engines that i re-made for fun that wont run when they are identical to engines that do run. :/ i made a gorgeous little I4 that tiny and should make lots of power, but the crank stick...for no f-ing reason.

i look forward to the next build.
