How do I use a .bsg file?

Pendular Engine

uploaded by The J 2 months ago

A common problem with engines is getting the steam cannons to move both forwards and backwards with enough uniformity. The simplest way to do it is with doubled-up sliders, but this gets messy and sliders both have some returning force (pulling them back) and can bend quite a lot, especially if your engine has a large throw. The other way is to use suspension edited to have a 0.00 stiffness value, but I prefer not to use such methods.
I present to you a workaround, the pendular engine (as I call it - if anyone has a better name I'd love to hear it). This solves the problem reasonably well, though the fact that the motion isn't linear makes everything a little more awkward, though only barely.
