How do I use a .bsg file?

Sitting on the couch and suddenly got an idea
"What if I bend over a boxer engine, and adjust the timing of the pistons?"
Basically, this happens.

This is just the basic model, no extras, just variable timing.

I also found a trick while experimenting, which is if you can interrupt the firing without the cycle being done you will add up speed because lowered drag.

Instructions:
-Wait until water cannon is heated (also works with water instead of steam)
-Hold arrow down and right until nothing moves
-Press Y to toggle water cannon
--Arrow up and down adjusts timing

If you start building engine again its gonna get me building them too.... -_-

Fancy! I've got enough power to go BIG now too >:D

What's wrong though, try invincibility, infinite ammo and zero gravity (not that it's supposed to be necessary)

Did you hold right and down arrows?

Okay I looked at this for 10 minutes and I can't believe I didn't see it before

It shouldn't cause an issue really but the timing is actually off, I forgot to shift the rocking mechanism further left by half a block and that's why it hits one piston longer for a split second than the other piston

But still, I believe this is by far one of the most efficient ways in Besiege to generate power from piston-style engines
I used this system on the DUKE engine too, and a few radial engines, but this is quite different.

Next up: V6 in this style, as compact as possible.

but!!!!

can it run and not be affected by the steam balancing it. other than that its the reverse of my engine from ages ago, but also better... :)
