i used no mods, except scaling and building tools, for my car.

i see. also, which mod do you use for your car bodies

We could make faster running engines, in the shape of turbines, but these are either ruining the entire vehicle's physics or they are an eyesore with how simple they are

I've found the duke being the best in terms of torque, with the ability to still increase the power that goes to the water cannons

And I have a feeling the vacuum block is slightly better than a water cannon, it doesn't have the water and it doesn't pull when there's no other block in front of it, therefore not messing with gravity

You seem missed the point. The more important thing is about having an integrated drivetrain system rather than the size of a differential.

If you check out my recent cars, I've added sort-of driveshafts for my RWD and 4WD models, along with a cute little differential (or 2), not as small as your second one but small enough.

It's not a question of size but of power transfer. For example, I found that with this reduction in size and an introduction in angles (for the driveshaft), there was a lot of unnecessary vibrations which led to a loss in energy output. Unless Besiege gets decked out with custom pinion and ring gear sets, this obstacle will provide a problem for us.

Also, consider that even the strongest engine made so far will have shit output compared to what's needed for a car (we only get high-torque, low RPM solutions that work okay).

So more than anything, we are limited by the offered parts in Besiege as well as the quirks of its physics engine when it's challenged by the creation.

Cool stuff tho.

Smaller is not an issue, we need an efficient way to drive the differential like a real car.

I have some examples but it should be done better

Good job though, please continue making these kind of things

Not really the smallest.
Integrated drivetrain with suspension is possible in Bsg, excluding transfer case& real working engine at this moment.

Ok yeah come to think of it an engine/ brake-pad/etc would be almost impossible to make, forget the FIRST ACTUAL CAR IN BESIEGE idea everybody. I guess differentials are our limit. Maybe we could make a V8 though. Ill try....
