Orz, THIS is what we meant ;)

The system is "realistic" on its own, but on another side it's totally not.

The wheel isn't turning around its own axis, but around the axis of the block holding it

Though, in this creation with half a block offset so youre really close... But its not what we meant

i work on cars, and lots of other vehicles. i know what ozi is going for this isnt it and your smug attitude and poorly made, but pretty creations are funny with you bad attitude ^_^

Lecturing me about kingpins, when i have handle a dozen in the last two weeks personally id really funny though.

It seems I've projected some of my ideas onto you guys', sorry about that.
Just in case, would you guys mind googling how kingpin is setup for cars?

Oh did I? Or did you?

Lol. Agreed Ozi, he got to be a real smart ass on my steering and then could do what he said ha ha!
posted by oziboy 3 months ago on Wheel centre aligned RTC steering for dummies
Nope, still half a block offset.

Looks like a good system, but it's not what we meant.

I don't use it does not mean I do not know how to build it.

I dont really know what you are referring to on my machine, but i have achieved what i want from my RTC. Your vehicles dont even boast basic RTC steering, much less ones that have a decent axis of turn... :/

And thanks for the suggestion of RTC, but as I said, I would not implement it for the reasons I've already mentioned earlier.

You need to go over some rough terrain to see the difference between lock and unlock the diff lock.
You should be able to observe when unlocked one wheel would spin free if not in touch with the ground.
And if you lock the differential, both wheels should spin simultaneously.

cool, but a nice return to centre steering would be cool. anyway, anything change if i lock or unlock the rear axle diferencial?

Just use it. USE IT. MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE

In case you might think me being arrogent, I'll explain a bit. If you find it too long to read, just jump to the last part.

First of all, adding scaled, especially shrunken, components will make the vehicle in a state when some weird collision happend, it will explode like a piece of firework.

And secondly, the conncection between scaled components could be very different, increasing the complexity of building the vehicle.

Thirdly, the front suspension is made of 5 linkages and an anti-roll bar. And the steering is synced with the steering wheel. That is enough for one single part of the suspension and RTC is just taking too much space. Btw, RTC is weak in maintaining the direction of motion on rough terrain and have greater turning radius.

Making a chassis alone is simple because there is plenty of space for you. Adding the body is a different story and it is a lot harder. So don't be a smartass just say yours is better without studying in detail how other's machine is made and why it is made this way. You're just showing your idiocy.

You just provided a terrible example of trying to sell your idea to others.
In short, I will not use it.
But thanks for your kindness, I appreciate it.

Hello! I enjoy driving the jeep with nice suspension. But the steering is not so good. Look at my steering mech and do it. (it will be perfect) http://www.besiegedownloads.com/machine/32270
