Goes sideways real easy bc of the 7 steam power. Some fans on the bottom side will help old it to the ground. im breaking 20 units per second with this method easy.

A perfect example of besiege bugs using. Its very smart design. I also build engines and my best was effective than your but much bigger.

Only hits 15 units per second according to my mod. Makes me feel better about my builds. Still a great car!

Yey! You put it back up. This was a great car! Why'd you delete all your stuff?

Turbines are kind of a cheat

you deleted the home black so my velocity mod wont tell me. :/ I guess since you asked nice, i can put one back in.....
posted by bunnybunnyrun 3 months ago on 24km/h STEAM POWER
how fast it runs?
posted by bunnybunnyrun 3 months ago on 24km/h STEAM POWER
someone tell me PLEASE
posted by Roycehellion 3 months ago on 24km/h STEAM POWER
It didnt :/

I checked the key maps too in case something wasnt like you said. flat stall. Held R for a while too to make sure, didn a few run too, all cylinders firing and in order wouldnt climb.

dose all the piston stay in one line on your PC?
posted by bunnybunnyrun 3 months ago on 24km/h STEAM POWER
it should be able to climb that ramp in full throutle,

posted by Roycehellion 3 months ago on 24km/h STEAM POWER
Not a bad little rig, needs some refining, but not bad. RTC steering is pretty much a must on new vehicles. It also stalled out on the ramp as soon as it tried to climb.

may run slow on old PC,
reduce your time scale or resulotion,

I'm post a tachometer tomorrow for ya

But mods, mods... I want to do it the hard way okay? xD

I thought of doing that already, but honestly I'd like to make the mechanism myself, unless the machine is in movement I have no idea how to measure it as physics in this game are so freaking weird it stresses me out sometimes

Though, honestly, this creation resembles my differently used kinetic energy storage machine, on a weaker but more calculated base

speed of the spinning block * 50 = rotare speed of the engine (RPM)
change it to measure in different speed
posted by Roycehellion 3 months ago on Dynamic Torque Gauge
@Oziboy thats a cakewalk!

Just put you starter block on the flywheel i set mine at 1 block off center and use the velocity mod. ;)
This was 9 at that distance. obviously the more you space it out at the faster it will read, but since a lot of us run that mod anyway...

Or you can actually use a speedometer which i have made and so has The J. Its works off spring pressure and RPM's. Ill upload one if you want...

@oziboy
you mean measuring rotate speed?

posted by oziboy 3 months ago on Dynamic Torque Gauge
Looks good but we need one that can do speed properly

If I could drive something using the airflow the engine would make that would be so damn easy, but it's impossible in Besiege

You say 3 blocks are one meter? then I can make a proper engine, that goes FAST.
posted by Roycehellion 3 months ago on Dynamic Torque Gauge
thats odd. It may be bc it can process the forces better in slower time. I can see it being unstable. It has a happy RPM it runs at, but wont run as well if forced to a different RPM. Kinda like a power band.
posted by bunnybunnyrun 3 months ago on Dynamic Torque Gauge
the output is unstable,but...around15,or20,
it acturally dosen't work in 100% time scale,
and the troque goes higher when i slow down the time,

Cool! I was just checking, didnt know if your pic was for reference or not.

My engine will fit in a car, though, a larger car, but it will fit. Highest power possible is the goal! I posted it just a little bit ago if you wanna test it with your new gauge. It rated 6 gear sets on my meter which is really high.

@Roycehellion
left and right were shown in the picture,
and ur useing it right,
and i just fiished another one,25 max,(really take a lot of time to move those ballast in the right position)
wont be suprised if you break that one again,
if you just keep adding more power,nothing can hold it,
and it just wont fit in a car,
suggest you can try a 1,5 power steam cannon,
believe or not, 10 mass*m from a 1 power water cannon,

PS: dont put your engine too close to the input steering higne,it might be conected to something that it didnt even touch,

Here a video of my using the meter. Did i get it right?

* group of 3
posted by Roycehellion 3 months ago on steam powered car / 11km/h
It had a group of 4 and then the other were off by an unknown degree. It was my work computer which only has on board graphics, thats messes with the physics a lot.

Dont take it too seriously if it worked right for you. I cant even run my latest engines unless im at less that 10% speed.

Interesting. I maxed the meter out on my first try lol. Its was supposed to be a high powered engine, but wow. Of course i would have to check using my torque meter to double check it.

Mine is semi-dynamic, but is 100% vanilla: http://www.besiegedownloads.com/machine/31957

Im pretty certain i used this right. Since my engine is bi-directional it was ok to have it spin in the same direction as the meter made it spin, right? I wasnt sure since clockwise is dependent on view point.

Wow! this is ingenious! cant wait to try it out!
